Bio
Ken Stringer
Musician, Songwriter, producer
Ken released his first solo album, Six Exits from Nowhere, in 1996, which was recorded with Joe Pet at his studio in Medford, MA. After a couple of years promoting it and playing around the Boston area as the Ken Stringer Band, he moved away for an unrelated work opportunity. At that point music more or less took a back seat to his other obligations. Over the years he did keep his hands in music, always writing and recording, exploring, learning, and doing some post production work from time to time for other bands.
At the end of 2021 Ken decided it was time for something different, and retired from his 30+ year career in the civil engineering and construction industry. Having always had many interests and hobbies outside of work, including hiking, skiing, and traveling, he really wanted to be able to spend more time pursuing those interests, and mostly getting back into making music full time again. So in early 2022 he and his wife sold their house in the Houston, TX area and moved to Littleton, New Hampshire. It seems like a big move, and it was, but having previously lived in New England and having friends and family here, they fell right back into it. After 25 years away, they are thrilled to be back in New England, especially here in New Hampshire!
After getting settled in New Hampshire and setting up his studio, Ken released 1 song a month thru most of 2022. Then in March 2024 he released his second solo album Waypoints. Now in 2026 he is getting ready to release his third solo album called Catch the Light, starting with the release of several singles. The first single, "No Sympathy", will be released in May.
